What I Offer

I’m Marissa, founder of Sun House Studio.

I specialise in thoughtfully curated property styling for residential properties, real estate campaigns and Airbnb accommodation.

Rather than offering a traditional staging service, I work with the personality of each home - sourcing pieces that complement its character and story, while layering in my own carefully collected soft furnishings, artwork and objects to create spaces that feel warm, considered and genuinely lived in.

I pride myself on no two homes being styled the same. Every project is individually curated to ensure the final result feels authentic rather than formulaic.

Because great styling isn't just about making a home look beautiful. It's about creating imagery that captures attention, evokes emotion and helps buyers or guests imagine themselves there.

  • Full interior styling for residents or hosts who want their property to feel like somewhere. I source and curate pieces that suit the personality of your space - and everything stays. Soft furnishings, props and styling pieces are chosen to be enjoyed by guests, photographed beautifully, and loved long-term. From a focused refresh to a full property transformation, every project is approached with intention and care.

    Every project is individually scoped and quoted following an initial complimentary site visit.

  • Shoot preparation styling for agents who want their listings to stop the scroll. I dress the property room by room using my own curated prop collection - living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor areas styled and handed over camera-ready. My props come with me when the shoot is done, so there's nothing to manage on settlement day.

  • In addition to property styling, I can support your team with photography production - whether that's sourcing the right photographer, providing a beautiful shoot location, or being on set to direct.

    Studio hire - Access to Sun House Studio, a versatile light-filled creative space in Burleigh Heads. Available for half or full day bookings. POA.

    Photographer booking - Sourcing and booking a Gold Coast photographer, using my extensive list of contacts, to suit your team's brief and budget. POA.

    Full shoot production - End-to-end: studio hire, photographer sourcing, styling and on-set direction. Everything coordinated in one place. POA.

Courtyard House

Interior design, sourcing and styling project, featured in Adore Magazine.

For the finishes of the project, I used earthy tones including custom external and internal render colours, walnut timbers cabinetry, concrete, natural stone and thoughtfully selected furnishings - for the ease of seaside living with a family.

Each styling piece was personally selected to feel meaningful, support small business, or had a story to tell.

Sun House Studio - The Space

Interior design and styling project.

A standard 209m2 warehouse was converted into a design-led co-working studio, photoshoot studio and event space.

The hero of the space is the wooden pod complete with a custom balustrade, circle window, barn doors opening up into a kitchen/lounge area, upstairs office space which seats eight people, and a bright yellow striped bathroom - sun house in name, and nature. Kitchen and bathroom tiles were by local business, Three Balls Red.

Varsity Lakes Project

A full interior refresh for a client planning to renovate later - every piece was chosen to remain part of the home long-term.

The vibe includes oak timber, a pop of green, soft layered linens and styling to elevate.

I cannot wait to bring this project to life for this busy local family.

Already furnished, not yet a destination.

I was hired to elevate the property after it had already been furnished, to style it for the AirBnB photoshoot.

I added soft furnishings, props and styling to make it feel like somewhere guests can't wait to stay.
