Hi, I’m Marissa.

I grew up in Currumbin Beach and have always been passionate about the southern Gold Coast. In 2008, I co-founded The Village Markets to challenge the idea that the Gold Coast lacked culture. Over 16 years, it became a launchpad for brands like Kivari, Peony, and Ziggy Alberts, and a true community hub.

What I loved most? Connecting with creatives and small business owners.

That’s what inspired Sun House Studio.

More than a co-working space, shoot studio, or event venue-it’s a light-filled, design-led space built for creativity, connection, and collaboration. A place where people feel at home.

You’ll find me upstairs most days, working alongside our co-working community, planning interior projects or supporting brands hosting shoots, workshops, and events.

I also offer production, styling, and creative support-helping bring your vision to life and connecting you with the right people to make it happen.

  • 7/32 Junction Road Burleigh Heads

  • Some private carparks are available for co-workers and clients, as organised with management. Alternative parking is available along Junction Road. Strictly no parking in other tenants carparks.

  • We have a maximum of 8 co-working desks available, per day. Check out some more info here.

  • Some storage is available for co-workers, this is something that will need to be organised with management prior to commencement.

  • There are no meeting rooms available, however there are casual break out zones you can definitely have meetings with your team or clients during office hours. There is also a barn door to close off the kitchen/dining area, this can be coordinated with our community. There are also two coffee shops within walking distance of the studio.

  • The full studio is 209m2. The space details and inclusions are available here.

  • You are welcome to respectfully use all props located downstairs during your hire period.

    Paper backdrops are available to purchase for $40 each.

  • No, we do not have equipment available to use. However, we have an extensive list of industry contacts and would be happy to point you in the right direction.

  • Yes, our founder Marissa Bowden offers her in-house services and industry contacts for a fee, check out our services section for more.

  • No, sorry please don’t unless otherwise arranged with management.

  • Yes, you can make an appointment to visit the space using our contact form.
